JASHORE, Dec 6, 2025 (BSS) - A day-long free medical camp was organized in the district today to offer prayers for the health and long life of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. 

The initiative was jointly arranged by the Jashore District branch of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) and Sadar Upazila BNP.

The camps were set up at Rupdia Shaheed Smriti Secondary Girls' School and Munsefpur Secondary School grounds, where 25 specialist doctors provided free treatment and medicines to underprivileged villagers.

Organizers said patients requiring surgery were being identified, and arrangements would later be made for their operations. Those treated at the camp will also receive three months of free follow-up care.

BNP Central Committee Vice Chairman Professor Nargis Begum and Khulna Divisional Acting Organizing Secretary Aninda Islam Amit visited the camps around 11 am to observe the activities.

District BNP General Secretary Delwar Hossain Khokon, Sadar Upazila BNP Vice President Abdar Hossain Khan, General Secretary Anjarul Haque Khokon, Organizing Secretary Abdur Razzak, District Volunteer Party Convener Mustafa Amir Faisal and DAB Khulna Divisional Co-Organizing Secretary Dr Md Rabiul Islam Tuhin were also present during the visit.
