Programme announced in Narsingdi to celebrate Victory Day

Narsingdi, 7 Dec 2025 (BSS) – The Raipura Upazila administration of Narsingdi has announced a daylong programme to celebrate Victory Day 2025 with due respect and solemnity.

The day’s events will begin at sunrise with a 31-gun salute, followed by the hoisting of the national flag atop all government, semi-government, autonomous, and private establishments, said Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Masud Rana today.

Floral wreaths will be placed at the Upazila Central Shaheed Minar, and tributes will be paid at mass graves and the graves of freedom fighters.

A parade, assembly, and rendition of the national anthem by students from various educational institutions will be held at the Raipura Government College grounds.

At 11 am, a reception will be held for wounded freedom fighters, families of martyred freedom fighters, and valiant freedom fighters at the Upazila auditorium.

Special prayers and munajat will be offered after Zohr at mosques, temples, churches, and other places of worship, seeking eternal peace for the martyrs and the progress and prosperity of the nation.

In the afternoon, films and documentaries based on the Liberation War will be screened at educational institutions, while special meals will be served at hospitals and orphanages. 

Government and private buildings will be illuminated at night, and a daylong Victory Fair will be held at the Raipura Municipality ground.
