Mobile court fines enterprise Tk 12 lakh, seizes fake electric goods

CHATTOGRAM, Dec 15, 2025 (BSS) - A Mobile court here today has fined Taka 12 
lakh and seized a large quantity of electric goods from a business enterprise 
for manufacturing and marketing fake and sub-standard electric goods. 

The mobile court was conducted by RAB-7 at a business firm named "OnePlus" in 
the Kadamtali area under Sadarghat thana in the city, according to a RAB 
press release.

RAB officials said they conducted the mobile court after receiving secret 
information that the accused enterprise had been manufacturing and selling 
counterfeit and low quality electric goods without mandatory approval from 
Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI), posing serious risks to 
public safety and infrastructure. 

Executive Magistrate of RAB headquarter Mohammed Abu Hasan conducted the 
mobile court in presence of BSTI filed officer Eng Md Hafizur Rahman. 

A sizable quantity of electric goods was seized during the operation.
