KMP imposes restrictions ahead of assistant teacher recruitment exam

KHULNA, Jan 8, 2026 (BSS) - Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) on Wednesday issued a public notice imposing restrictions in the metropolitan area on the occasion of the written examination for the Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2025 under the Directorate of Primary Education.

According to the notice, the restrictions have been imposed under Sections 29 and 30 of the Khulna Metropolitan Police Ordinance, 1985, exercising the powers vested in the Police Commissioner.

The order will remain in force from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm on January 9, 2026, during the examination period.

To ensure the smooth and uninterrupted conduct of the examination, gatherings of five or more persons, roaming and processions within a 200-yard radius of the examination centres will remain prohibited from 12 noon on the exam day until the end of the test.

The notice also said that carrying any kind of weapons, including firearms, knives, sticks, explosive substances or similar materials, will be strictly prohibited within the examination centres.

Besides, the use of loudspeakers or any sound-amplifying devices producing loud noise will not be allowed in the examination areas.
The written examination will be held at 25 centres across the Khulna Metropolitan area, the notice added.

The public notice was signed by Mohammad Zahidul Hasan, Police Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police.
