Forest land worth Tk 2 crore recovered in Banshkhali

CHATTOGRAM, Jan 8, 2026 (BSS) - A mobile court has demolished a house that was constructed by illegally occupying government land designated by the Forest Department in Banshkhali, Chattogram.
 
The estimated value of the reclaimed land is Tk 2 crore. This operation took place in the Bachira Bari region of Puichuri Union in Banshkhali Upazila today.
 
The operation was led by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Md. Omar Sunny Akon. Present during the operation were officers and staff from the Army, Banshkhali Police Station, Chambal, Napor, and Puichuri Forest and Jaldi Range, along with personnel from the Upazila Land Office.

The estimated worth of the recovered land is Tk 2 crore. This operation occurred today in the Bachira Bari area of Puichuri Union within Banshkhali Upazila.
 
The operation was overseen by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Md. Omar Sunny Akon. Officers and staff from the Army, Banshkhali Police Station, Chambal, Napor, and Puichuri Forest and Jaldi Range were present during the operation, along with personnel from the Upazila Land Office.
