CHATTOGRAM, Jan 10, 2026 (BSS)- The Upazila Administration in Fatikchhari of 
the district seized six dump trucks and an excavator today for cutting 
topsoil of cropland. 

The operation, led by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive 
Magistrate Mohammad Nazrul Islam, was conducted on Friday night in the Chota 
Chiloniya and Maharaja Bari areas of Ward No. 1 of Sundarpur Union of the 
upazila.

Mohammad Nazrul Islam stated that the operation was carried out at midnight 
following a tip-off regarding the illegal cutting of topsoil on agricultural 
land. The accused individuals managed to escape upon learning about the 
operation.

Six dump trucks and an excavator used for extracting topsoil were confiscated 
at the scene. 

He emphasized that similar operations will be ongoing in the interest of the 
public.
