Motorcyclist killed in Bogura road accident

BOGURA, Jan 12, 2026 (BSS) – A motorcyclist was killed when a pickup van rammed into his motorcycle in Dupchanchia upazila here today.

The deceased was identified as Parvez Hossain, 25, a resident of Kurahar village under Atmul union in Shibganj upazila and an employee of Azad Paper Mill in the Bir Kedar area of Kahalu upazila.

Police said that while Parvez was heading towards his workplace, an unidentified pickup van hit his motorcycle from behind in the Mail Bus Stand area on the Bogura–Naogaon regional highway within Dupchanchia municipality this noon.
He fell onto the road and died on the spot after sustaining critical head injuries, police added.

Confirming the incident, Dupchanchia Police Station Inspector (investigation) Nasirul Islam said the body has been kept in police custody and the victim’s family has been informed.
Police are trying to identify the pickup van involved in the accident, he added.
