Public vote awareness meeting held in Manikganj

MANIKGANJ, Jan 13, 2026 (BSS) - A public vote awareness meeting was held today at the Baliati Ishwar Chandra High School premises under Saturia Upazila of the district.

Deputy Commissioner Nazmun Ara Sultana attended the event as the chief guest.

The meeting was chaired by Saturia Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Iqbal Hossain. 

Among others, the meeting was addressed by Superintendent of Police Mohammad Sarwar Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Mohammad Ali, Deputy Director of the Department of Narcotics Control Md. Khaledul Karim, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Moumita Guha Eva and Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) Asaduzzam.

Government officials, public representatives, local journalists, teachers and other distinguished members of the community participated in the programme.

Speaking as the chief guest, Deputy Commissioner Nazmun Ara Sultana said the voter awareness campaign had been launched in the district with the participation of government officials and public representatives. She added that similar meetings would be organized in different upazilas of the district to encourage people to exercise their voting rights.
