DHAKA, Jan 13, 2026 (BSS) - Gas supply through the city's Uttara main 12-inch diameter distribution line has been suspended following a high-pressure gas leakage caused by the explosion of a service line valve of an industrial client near the Tongi Bridge in Uttara.

The information was disclosed in a press release issued today by Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution PLC.

According to the release, work to replace the damaged valve is currently underway. As a result of the shutdown, gas supply in Uttara, Uttarkhan, Dakshinkhan and surrounding areas remains disrupted.
