Navy Institute of Hospitality Management inaugurated in Khulna

KHULNA, Jan 15, 2026 (BSS) – Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan today inaugurated the Navy Institute of Hospitality Management (NIHOM) in Khulna.

The institute has been established at the Bangladesh Navy training base ‘School of Logistics and Management’ at Lobonchora, near Khan Jahan Ali Bridge (Rupsha Bridge), about eight kilometres south of Khulna city.

Under the management of the Navy Welfare Foundation, NIHOM will function as a professional training institution following the policies and standards of the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA).

The institute aims to develop skilled male and female human resources for the hospitality management sector by combining professional training with naval discipline.

Initially, NIHOM will offer NSDA-approved courses in bakery and pastry production, food and beverage production, and food and beverage service.

Senior Bangladesh Navy officials, guests and media representatives were present at the inaugural ceremony.
