MADARIPUR, Jan 18, 2026 (BSS) - Four people were killed when a passenger bus 
hit an easy bike in Ghatakchar area under Sadar upazila here on Sunday evening.

One of the deceased was identified as Pannu Munshi, a resident of the College 
Road area of the district town. Identities of the other deceased could not be known immediately.

The accident occurred around 6:00 pm on the Dhaka-Barisal highway when a bus 
of 'Sarbik Paribahan' dashed an easy bike, leaving two easy bike passengers 
and bus helper dead on the spot.

Another person injured in the accident was rescued and taken to Madaripur 
Sadar Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries later, bringing the death toll to four.

Madaripur Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the incident.
