RAB recovers looted ammunition, police uniforms in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, Jan 22, 2026 (BSS)- Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered ammunition, police uniforms and other equipment ,which were looted from police stations on August 5,2024, from Kasiadanga area in the city last night.

On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted raids at Noboganga area under Kasiadanga Police station at around 2am and recovered 13 rounds of shotgun live ammunition, 2 sets of police uniforms, 2 pairs of boots, 2 belts, 1 cap, and 6 rank badges.

Based on confidential information, a reconnaissance RAB team came to know that a group of people had gathered in the Nabaganga area for buying and selling narcotics.

Accordingly, an operational team conducted a raid at the specified location late at night on the same day. Sensing the presence of RAB, the suspects fled the scene.
