NARSINGDI, Jan 25, 2026 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-11 in a drive arrested two drug dealers along with 80 kgs of ganja in Palash upazila of the district last night.

Camp Commander of RAB-11, Narsingdi, and Additional Superintendent of Police Md Ariful Islam confirmed the matter. 

The arrested persons were identified as the pickup driver Md. Kawsar (27) and his assistant, Md. Moharam Ali (26). Two mobile phones were also seized from their possession.

Acting on a tip-off, RAB-11 conducted a special drive at around 11:40 pm last night in the Charnagardi Bazar area on the Pachdona-Charsindur road under Palash police station. During the operation, 80 kilograms of dried ganja were recovered from a pickup van and the dealers were arrested. 

RAB sources said the recovered ganjas were being transported innovatively by hiding inside a specially made box under a plain sheet on the pickup's body.

The elite forces have handed over the apprehended to the respective police stations with the seized drugs to the local police for further legal action.
