Circular issued banning meetings, rallies, processions in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Feb 9, 2026 (BSS) – The district administration has issued a circular regarding the ban on public meetings, rallies and processions in the six electoral constituencies of the district to ensure the smooth conduct of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad Election and Referendum-2026 to be held on February 12. 

The circular states that for the purpose of the election, public meetings, rallies and processions and participation in these programmes are prohibited in the constituencies for the 48 hours preceding the start of voting from 7:30 am on February 10 to 7:30 am on February 12. 

This information has been given in a notification signed by Mohammad Enamul Ahsan, Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer of Rangpur (13th Jatiya Sangsad Election, 2026), a press note issued by the Rangpur Regional PID Office said.
