Goats distributed among ethnic communities in Naogaon

NAOGAON, March 5, 2026 (BSS) – Goats, grain feed and other essential have been distributed for socio-economic and quality of life improvement of small ethnic groups in Patnitala upazila of the district today under the Integrated Livestock Development Project.

The distribution program was organized in the morning by the Upazila Livestock Office and Veterinary Hospital. The event was chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Alimuzzaman Milon and supervised by Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Ashish Kumar Debnath.

Local Member of Parliament Engineer Md. Enamul Haque attended the programme as the chief guest.

During the event, a total of 400 goats along with grain feed, corrugated iron sheets, and other necessary supplies were distributed among 200 beneficiaries to support livestock rearing and improve their livelihoods.

Among others present at the programme were Upazila Fisheries Officer Ruzina Parvin, former Vice Chairman Maulana Habibur Rahman, Md. Harunur Rashid, Assistant Secretary of the Upazila branch of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and a member of the Naogaon District Working Council, and Mofachhel Haque, Amir of the Najipur Municipal branch, along with other local officials and community representatives.
