15 injured in Bandarban road accident

BANDARBAN, March 22, 2026 (BSS)- At least 15 people were injured in a road accident in Bandarban University area of Sadar upazila of the district this early morning.

Additional Police Super (Sadar Circle) Manna Dey said the accident occurred when the driver of a tourist bus of ‘Saudia Paribahan’ lost control over the steering and fell into a roadside ditch, leaving at least 15 tourists injured on the spot at 5am.

He said locals rescued them and sent to Bandarban Sadar Hospital. One of the injured has been sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital in a critical condition, he added.
