Two drug peddlers held with 2,465 Yaba in Khulna

KHULNA, April 01, 2026 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-6 arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with 2,465 Yaba tablets from Rupsha upazila in Khulna district.

A team of RAB-6 conducted a special drive based on secret information at around 2:10 pm on Tuesday in front of Southern Foods Ltd in the Ilaipur area under Rupsha Police Station on the Rupsha-Dhaka highway, said a press release issued today.

During the drive, the elite force arrested Sonia, 26, daughter of Md Zainal Abedin Sheikh of Machhuadanga village, and Md Badal Molla, 45, son of late Kuddus Molla of Milki Deyara village. Both are residents of Rupsha upazila in the district.

RAB members recovered and seized a total of 2,465 Yaba tablets from their possession.

Later, the detainees, along with the seized drugs, were handed over to Rupsha Police Station for further legal action.

A case has been filed against the arrested persons with Rupsha Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act.
