KHULNA, Apr 2, 2026 (BSS) – Deputy Secretary (DS) of the government Hure Jannat has officially assumed the charge as the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and District Magistrate of Khulna district.
She took over the charge today from outgoing Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate ASM Jamshed Khondkar, who formally handed over charge during a brief occasion.
On the occasion, the newly appointed DC was welcomed with flower bouquets by the officials.
An Officer of the 27th batch of the Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) cadre, HureJannat previously served as Deputy Secretary at the Secondary and Higher Education Division.
She hails from Dinajpur district.
