Three shops fined Tk. 2 lakh in Nilphamari

RANGPUR, April 10, 2026 (BSS) - A mobile court fined three shops Tk two lakh for storing and selling adulterated food, illegally storing polythene and soybean oil at different markets under Domar police station of Nilphamari on Thursday night.
 
The Domar upazila administration, RAB-13 and Domar and Nilphamari Army Camps jointly initiated the mobile court, said a press release signed by RAB-13's Senior Assistant Director (Media) and Additional Superintendent of Police Biplab Kumar Goswami today.
 
Domar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and Executive Magistrate Shaila Sayeed Tanny led the mobile court.
 
During the raid, the mobile court fined shop owners Md Rezaul Karim Taka 1,00,000, Md Mohidul Islam of M/s. Shahidul & Sons Taka 50,000 and Md Sabed Ali Taka 50,000, totaling Taka 2,00,000 in the drives.
 
"In addition, RAB-13's intelligence activities and ongoing operations will continue to implement the zero tolerance policy against crimes such as illegal hoarding, selling goods at excessive prices and food adulteration," the release added.
