MANIKGANJ, April 26, 2026 (BSS) - The ferry operations between Paturia-Daulatdia have been suspended over Kalbaishakhi and strong wind since 4:40pm, said sources at the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Paturia Ghat this afternoon.

Paturia Ghat Deputy General Manager (DGM) Abdus Salam said for the safety of the vehicles and passengers, the ferry movement between Paturia-Daulatdia remained suspended since 4:40 pm, adding that three ferries have been waiting at Paturia Ghat and seven at Daulatdia Ghat.

The ferry operations will resume once the weather turns favorable, he said.
