Two motorcyclists killed in Cumilla road crash

CUMILLA, June 6, 2026 (BSS) - Two motorcyclists were killed when their bike hit a passenger bus on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Chupua area under Chauddagram upazila of the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Mohammad Sanaullah, 25, son of Maulana Abdullah of Mahisair village in Barura upazila and Antar, 24, a resident of Muradnagar upazila.

According to police, the accident took place when the speeding motorcycle hit the bus from behind. Both riders were thrown off the motorcycle and they sustained fatal injuries at the scene. Later, they succumbed to their injuries. 

Sub-Inspector Chandan Saha of Miabazar Highway Police Station confirmed the matter and said the bodies will be handed over to the families after completion of the necessary legal procedures.
