RAJSHAHI, June 10, 2026 (BSS)- A two-day special campaign has been launched at the Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) headquarters to collect applications for the inclusion of pregnant mothers residing within the RCC area in the allowance programme under the "Mother and Child Benefit Program", implemented by the Department of Women Affairs.
 
Today, RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton visited various booths operating at the City Hall premises as part of the campaign. 

During the visit, he spoke with women receiving services and assured them that the City Corporation is always ready to stand by citizens in times of need. 

He also instructed the concerned officials to ensure the smooth implementation of the programme.
 
Among those present were RCC Chief Executive Officer Rezaul Karim, Secretary Sohel Rana, Superintending Engineer Ahmad Al Muin Parag, Chief Health Officer Dr FAM Anjuman Ara Begum, Deputy Director of the Department of Women Affairs Ishrat Jahan, Program Director of World Food Programme (WFP) Sadiq Ali, its Monitoring Assistant Sumaiya Hossain and others.
 
It is worth noting that the special campaign, organised by the Department of Women Affairs, is being held on June 10 and 11. 

Under this campaign, applications are being collected from pregnant mothers residing in Wards 16 to 23 of the city for inclusion in the allowance programme.
