Canada's immigration firm donates medical equipment to Bangladesh

DHAKA, June 10, 2026 (BSS) - Scotia Consultants, an immigration firm of Canada, has provided emergency medical equipment assistance worth Taka 4 crore including ventilators to help deal with the ongoing measles situation in the country.

Scotia Consultants President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Md Jamilur Rahim handed over the assistance to Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Husain at the Bangladesh Secretariat here today. 

The minister praised this noble initiative by private organisations to come forward in support of public health efforts. 

He also expressed his sincere gratitude to Dr Jamilur for the contribution.

Health Services Division Secretary Md Quamruzzaman Chowdhury, Directorate General of Heath Services Director General Professor Dr. Pravath Chandra Biswas and Empori Anxo Medicare Limited Executive Director Shahed Kamal were present.
