2 held with drugs in Rangpur, Nilphamari

RANGPUR, June 15, 2026 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 seized huge amounts of drugs and arrested two suspected drug peddlers in separate drives in Rangpur and Nilphamari districts.
 
The seized drugs included 200 liters of locally brewed liquor, 88 pieces of Yaba tablets and 40 bottles of phensedyl-like ESkuf syrup. 
 
On a tip off, a RAB-13 team from Gaibandha Camp in a raid seized 200 liters of domestically brewed liquor from village Patgram under Pirganj police station of Rangpur district at 4:10 pm on Monday.
 
However, none was arrested in this drive.
 
Another team of RAB-13 from Nilphamari Camp arrested one Md Humayun Kabir, 54, of village Dakshin Rajib under Kishoreganj police station of Nilphamari with 88 pieces of Yaba tablets from the nearby Uttarpushna village at 4:35 pm on Sunday. 
 
In a separate operation, a RAB-13 team from Nilphamari Camp arrested Saiful Islam, 55, from his house in Pathanpara village under Nilphamari Sadar police station with 40 bottles of illegal ESkuf syrup at 9:15 pm on Sunday.
 
After filing separate cases, the elite force handed over the arrested persons and seized drugs to Pirganj, Kishoreganj and Nilphamari Sadar police stations respectively for further legal actions.
