One held with 855 Yaba tablets in Rangpur

RANGPUR, June 22, 2026 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested a suspected drug peddler along with 855 pieces of Yaba tablets from village Ullagari under Pirganj police station of Rangpur on Sunday night.

The detainee is Nur Mohammad Humayun Kabir, 40, of the same village, according to a press release signed by RAB-13's Senior Assistant Director (Media) and Additional Superintendent of Police Biplab Kumar Goswami, issued this afternoon.

On a tip off, an operational team of RAB-13's Crime Prevention Company (CPC)-3 from Gaibandha Camp in a drive seized the drugs and arrested the man from the same village at 8:45 pm. 
 
After filing a case in this incident, the elite force handed over the seized drugs and the arrested person to Pirganj police station of Rangpur, the release added.
