Nilphamari’s school girl rescued, abductor held in Feni

RANGPUR, June 22, 2026 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested the main abductor and rescued the victim schoolgirl of Nilphamari from village Pathannagar Bazar under Chhagalnaiya police station of Feni district on Sunday evening.
 

The arrestee is Asadul Haque Babu, 25, of village Khalisha Dhulia under Saidpur police station of Nilphamari, said a press release issued here this afternoon.
 

Citing the statement of the related case filed by the victims’ father, the release said that the victim of the same area was a 2026 SSC examinee. 
 

The accused had been harassing the victim by proposing love to her on different occasions while she was going to and from school. 
 

The victim did not agree and informed her family about the harassment and bad proposals. 
 

When the victim's family informed the family of the accused about the matter, he became even angrier.
 
Later, the accused forcibly kidnapped the victim from the school gate with the help of other accused in a pre-planned manner at 1.30 pm on April 9, 2026.
 

The victim's father filed a kidnapping case against the accused at Saidpur police station of Nilphamari on April 15, 2026.
 

On a tip off, a joint team of the RAB-13’s Nilphamari Camp and RAB-7’s Feni Camp in a drive arrested the main accused Asadul Haque Babu and rescued the victim from village Pathannagar Bazar of Feni district at 5:55 pm on Sunday.
 

The victim and the arrested accused have been handed over to Saidpur police station.
