BAGERHAT, Aug 15, 2026 (BSS) - The district unit of Red Crescent today hosted a milad and doa mahfil to mark the 82nd birthday of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, seeking eternal peace for her departed soul.

Bagerhat Red Crescent unit Secretary Mahbubur Rahman Tutul presided over the programme, moderated by Executive Member Hadiuzzaman Hero. Mohammad Mashiur Rahman, a retired government secretary and life member of the unit, attended as the chief guest, while Bagerhat District BNP Coordinator MA Salam was present as the special guest.

Special prayers were offered seeking forgiveness and eternal peace for Khaleda Zia's soul, as well as peace, prosperity and the welfare of the country and its people.
