MYMENSINGH, Aug 25, 2026 (BSS) - Zila Parishad has handed over cheques for the implementation of 52 development projects in different areas of the district.
The cheques were formally handed over at a ceremony held on Monday afternoon at the Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin Auditorium of the Zila Parishad.
Zila Parishad administrator Syed Emran Saleh Prince distributed the cheques among representatives of the project implementation committees.
Speaking at the event, Emran said the government is implementing development programmes in line with public expectations.
He said transparency, accountability, fairness and public welfare are being given the highest priority in the selection and implementation of development projects.
He urged the concerned authorities to implement every project properly while maintaining quality standards and cautioned them against any misuse or wastage of allocated funds.
Zila Parishad chief executive officer Shah Kamrul Huda chaired the programme. Executive officer Snigdha Das, assistant engineer Abdus Salam, administrative officer Mojibur Rahman and accounts officer Mahmudur Rahman Taslim, among others were present at the event.
