Victory rally, volleyball competition held in Lakshmipur

LAKSHMIPUR, Jan 16, 2025 (BSS)-A victory rally for the champions U-14 cricket team was held today (Thursday) at district stadium ground keeping ahead the theme of 'Let's change the country, change the World".

The volleyball competition with the participation of seven teams was also held at the same venue, organized by the district administration and the district sports office with the overall cooperation of the district sports association and the football federation.

Besides, reception was given to the cricketers who emerged the divisional level champions in the under-14 cricket tournament. 

The victory rally started from the district stadium ground and terminated at the same venue after passing through important roads of the city.
After the rally, Lakshmipur deputy commissioner Rajib Kumar Sarkar said that drug addiction would be eliminated through sports. 

He also congratulated each player on behalf of district administration for becoming divisional level champions in U-14 cricket tournament and hoped that these players would participate in the national games in the future.

Additional superintendent of police (administration) AB Siddique, additional deputy commissioner, Khisa Samrat, district sports officer Md. Jahangir Alam, Lakshmipur Football Federation vice president advocate Mohsin Kabir Swapan and its general secretary Sohail Adnan, were among others, also present there.
