BAF celebrates Festival of Youth in Narail

DHAKA, Jan 28, 2025 (BSS)- Bangladesh Archery Federation (BAF) has
been conducting various activities across the country on the occasion
of Festival of Youth under the slogan of “Let's change the country,
change the world” with the aim of building a new Bangladesh.

As part of the continuation after Nilphamari, Faridpur, Gazipur,
Natore and Chuadanga, the BAF celebrated the Festival of Youth
holding various day-long activities in Narail district on Tuesday.

Apart from archery competition, the day-long program also included
colorful rally, ‘pitha festival’ and cultural program.

The rally started at Narail govt. high school ground and ended at the
same place after passing through different streets of the city.  

After the rally, ‘pitha festival’ and cultural program were held in
festive atmosphere.

Narail additional deputy commissioner Linkon Biswas was the chief
guest in the Festival of Youth, while Bangladesh Archery Federation
general secretary Kazi Razib Uddin Ahmed Chapal was present there as
the special guest, presided by Narail district sports officer Md
Kamruzzaman.

Meanwhile, in the day’s archery competition, Lohid Hossain won gold
in the boys’ section while Habib Sheikh and Nayeem Sheikh bagged the
silver and bronze medals respectively.

In the boy’s Jr. section, Umar Mali, Ashik Mali and Abu Huraira won
gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.

The rests of programs of the festival of youth will be held on
January 31 in Rajshahi, February 2 in Chattogram and the final on
February 8 at the historic Paltan ground in the capital.
