RANGPUR, Nov 6, 2025 (BSS) - Rangpur Kingsman won the final match of the 
Youth Festival Rangpur T20 Cricket Tournament- 2025 and became champions by 
beating Dinajpur Sunrise in the super over. 
 
The exciting final match between Rangpur Kingsman and Dinajpur Sunrise was 
held at the Collectorate Cricket Garden in the metropolis on Thursday 
afternoon. 
 
Rangpur Kingsman batted first in the match and scored 176 runs after losing 
six wickets in the stipulated 20 overs in the first half after winning the 
toss. 
 
Dinajpur Sunrise batted with a target of 177 runs in the second half of the 
match. 
 
Dinajpur Sunrise was losing wickets at regular intervals at one stage of the 
match. But Dinajpur Sunrise came back into the game with a few consecutive 
sixes. In the end, the match went to the last over. 
 
Dinajpur Sunrise lost all its wickets in 20 overs and scored 177 runs. The 
game ended in a draw in the scheduled time and went to a super over. 
 
Dinajpur's Sunrise scored 13 runs off 6 balls in the super over. 
 
Later, Rangpur Kingsman batted towards the target of 14 runs with two runs 
off the first two balls and a six off the third ball, a dot off the fourth 
ball, a single off the fifth ball and another six off the last ball and won 
the match. 
 
Rangpur Kingsman captain Salauddin Pappu was adjudged the Man of the Series 
and Best Batsman in the final match.
 
Dinajpur Sunrise's Raisul Islam Angkon was adjudged the Best Bowler, and Rony 
Faisal was adjudged the Man of the Tournament. 
 
Later, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Rabiul Faisal presented the trophies to 
the tournament champions and runners-up teams. 
 
Rangpur Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) and Tournament Committee 
Convener Md Ramiz Alam, Additional Superintendent of Police Md Joynal Abedin, 
Bangladesh Cricket Board Director Md Hasanuzzaman, District Sports Officer Md 
Masud Rana, District Sports Association member Farhan Tanvir Fahim, among 
others, were present at the time. 
 
The Rangpur T20 Cricket Tournament- 2025 started on October 22 with the 
participation of eight teams from all eight districts of Rangpur division. 
 
This tournament was organized by the Rangpur District Administration and the 
District Sports Association.
