SIRAJGANJ, Jan 31, 2025 (BSS) - A friendly football match was held with the participation of local players at Kawakola char beside the Jamuna river in Sirajganj on Friday.

Sirajganj sadar Kamarkhanda constituency former member of national parliament and Sirajganj district BNP president Rumana Mahmud formally inaugurated the meet, organized by Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) on occasion of Festival of Youth with a slogan of "Let's change the country, change the world."

District sports officer Md Nure Elahi, district BNP senior joint general secretary VP Shamim Khan, joint general secretary, Press Club president and former general secretary of district sports association Md Harun Or Rashid Khan Hasan, district BNP organizing secretary Abu Sayeed Sweet, local government affairs secretary and former municipal councilor Taj Mohammad, district football association vice president Rezaul Karim Mia Delip, its general secretary Md Hafizul Islam and former executive member of district sports association Alamin Sheikh werepresent in the opening ceremony, presided by BFF executive member and Sirajganj district sports association 
president Md Kamrul Hasan Hilton.

In the match, Jamuna Char XI beat Kawakola Char 2-1 goals.
