WASHINGTON, March 15, 2025 (BSS/TASS) - US President Donald Trump's Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs Adam Boehler will leave his position, the Axios news outlet reported citing sources in the White House.

According to them, the resignation was planned and is linked to the Trump administration's intention to grant Boehler broader powers in a different position.

The news portal also noted that the envoy for hostages has been receiving increased media attention due to his recent involvement in direct negotiations with the Palestinian Hamas movement on the release of US hostages and the potential signing of a broader ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
