DUBAI, March 16, 2025 (BSS/TASS) - At least 12 Palestinians, including one child, have been killed in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

The agency also reported that several Palestinians were injured after an Israeli drone attacked a group of people in the central Gaza Strip. According to WAFA, at least 150 people have been killed since the ceasefire agreement, which was previously concluded between Israel and the radical Palestinian movement Hamas, brokered by Egypt, Qatar and the United States, came into effect on January 19.

In mid-January, Israel and the radical Palestinian movement Hamas, with the mediation of Egypt, Qatar and the United States, agreed to introduce a ceasefire. The first stage of the agreement was completed on March 1, and 33 hostages were returned to Israel as part of it. On March 2, Israel blocked humanitarian aid supplies to Gaza and closed all checkpoints, and on March 7, the Ynet portal reported that the Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Eyal Zamir approved a new plan for an offensive on the Gaza Strip.
