At least 300 wounded, 67 critical, in Nairobi protests: emergency services

NAIROBI, June 25, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - At least 300 people were wounded during 
protests in Kenya's capital on Wednesday, an official with a multi-agency 
emergency response team told AFP.

"Sixty-seven are in critical condition and have been evacuated to Kenyatta 
National Hospital," said an official in the team which includes the Red 
Cross, speaking on condition of anonymity.

He added there were "suspected gunshot wounds and blunt trauma injuries" 
among the wounded.
