DHAKA, Sept 14, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of noted Islamic scholar Hafez Abdullah.

In a condolence message, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said Shaikhul Hadith and Chief Mufti of Jamiya Islamia Patia Hafez Abdullah played an important role in the dissemination of Islamic education across the country.

He prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to his bereaved family.

Hafez Abdullah died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Chattogram this morning at the age of 84.
