STRASBOURG, France, June 26, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Ukraine will triumph in fighting the Russian invasion if there is unity between Europe and the United States, President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday, urging a tight bond with President Donald Trump.

"We need a strong connection with him (Trump)... We need unity between Europe and the United States and we will prevail," Zelensky, who had a public spat with the American leader in the Oval Office earlier this year, told the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
