Iran says to seek UN Security Council ratification after final deal with US

TEHRAN, June 15, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - Iran's foreign ministry said on Monday it 
would seek ratification from the UN Security Council after it negotiates a 
final agreement covering its nuclear programme with the United States.

"The final agreement is expected to be endorsed by a United Nations Security 
Council resolution after a period of 60 days," said foreign ministry 
spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei in a weekly press briefing, adding that Tehran "will 
learn from past experience".
