UTAB condoles death of Khaleda Zia

DHAKA, Dec 30, 2025 (BSS) - The University Teachers' Association of Bangladesh (UTAB) has expressed deep shock at the death of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

In a condolence message issued today, UTAB President Professor Dr ABM Obaidul Islam and its Secretary General Professor Dr Md Morshed Hasan Khan said Begum Khaleda Zia was the leader and guardian of the people of Bangladesh. 


"With her death, the nation lost one of its guardians. The contribution of national leader Begum Khaleda Zia to the Bangladesh's overall development will be inscribed in the pages of history with golden letters," the message read.

Begum Khaleda Zia, widely regarded as an uncompromising leader for democracy in Bangladesh, died this morning at the age of 80 while undergoing treatment at a city hospital.
