Court issues travel ban on Gemcon Group CEO Kazi Anis

DHAKA, Nov 06, 2025 (BSS) - A Dhaka court today imposed a travel ban on Gemcon Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kazi Anis Ahmed and ordered the freezing of his 20 bank accounts as well as the attachment of various properties.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed the order after granting a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The court also instructed that a receiver be appointed to oversee the attached immovable properties.

The attached properties include flats and plots valued at Taka 7.20 crore, along with investments worth Taka 84.89 crore in different companies.
