DHAKA, Nov 06, 2025 (BSS) – A court here today imposed a travel ban on former director general (DG) of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Barrister Md Harun Ar Rashid, his wife Fatema Pervin Luna, and their daughters Fahmida Farah Fabiya and Nusrat Jarin Adrita.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed the order, allowing a plea from the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The petition states that an investigation officer has been appointed to probe allegations of Taka 1,000 crore worth of illegal wealth accumulation and money laundering against Barrister Md Harun Ar Rashid.

During the investigation, reliable sources informed that the accused and his family members are currently absconding within the country and may flee abroad at any time.

“If they manage to leave the country, the ongoing investigation could be severely hampered. Therefore, in the interest of a fair and uninterrupted inquiry, a travel ban on the accused is deemed essential,” it added.
