July martyrs’ families meet Chief Adviser

DHAKA, Feb 9, 2025 (BSS) - Some families of martyrs in the July uprising met Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna here today.

During the meeting, they discussed various issues including the trial of the mass killing committed in the July uprising, the formation of the July Uprising Directorate, state honours and recognition of the families of the injured and martyrs, and their financial assistance and rehabilitation.

 Chief Adviser Prof Yunus listened to the expectations of the martyrs' families and highlighted the ongoing activities of the government as well as its future plans.

Among others, Information and Broadcasting Adviser Nahid Islam and Sarjis Alam, one of the organisers of the July uprising, were present.
