Bangladesh receives record $3.29 bln remittance in March

DHAKA, April 6, 2025 (BSS) - The country's remittance inflow witnessed a remarkable year-on-year growth of 64.7 percent, reaching US$3.29 billion in March, making it the highest remittance inflow for a single month in the country's history.
 
The country had received $1.99 billion in remittances in the same period last year, according to Bangladesh Bank (BB) data.
 
Bangladesh received $2.53 billion remittance in February this year, which made it the then fourth-highest monthly inflow in the country's history.
 
Earlier, the country had recorded its highest-ever monthly remittance inflow of $2.64 billion in December last year.
 
Expatriates have sent remittance of $21.78 billion during the July, 2024-March, 2025 of the current fiscal year, which was only $17.08 billion during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
