DHAKA, April 23, 2025 (BSS) – In response to recent unrest at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), the government has initiated the process of relieving the Vice-Chancellor (VC) and Pro-Vice-Chancellor of their duties to resolve the ongoing crisis and ensure the swift resumption of academic activities.

“A search committee will soon be formed to appoint new officials for the two key positions. In the interim, a senior professor will be assigned as the acting VC to maintain the university's regular operations,” said a press release today.

The press release was issued by the Information and Broadcasting ministry, citing the ministry of education on Wednesday night.
