Remittance inflow rises by 23.97pc in first 26 days of July

DHAKA, July 27, 2025 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a remarkable year-on-year growth of 23.97 percent, reaching US$1933 million in the first 26 days of July, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued here today.
 
During the same period last year, the country's remittance inflow was $1559 million.
 
Expatriate Bangladeshis sent a record $30.33 billion in remittances in the fiscal year 2024-25 (FY25), marking the highest amount ever received in a single fiscal year in the country's history. 
 
This figure reflects a 26.80 percent increase compared to the $23.91 billion received in the previous fiscal year (FY24).
