KHAGRACHHARI, August 23, 2025 (BSS) - The newly constructed main gate of Khagrachhari Government High School, a century-old institution rich in heritage, was inaugurated this morning.
Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Adviser Supradip Chakma inaugurated the gate at 11 am.
Built at a cost of Tk 3.3 million by the engineering wing of the Zila Parishad (District Council), the gate is expected to enhance both the aesthetic appeal and security of the school, officials said.
Among others, Khagrachhari Zila Parishad Chairperson Shefalika Tripura, Deputy Commissioner ABM Iftekharul Islam Khandaker, Superintendent of Police Md. Arefin Jewel, along with other officials and public representatives, were present.
Meanwhile, the newly constructed gate, a significant addition to the school's long history, has sparked joy among students, parents, and alumni alike.
Students expressed hope that the new gate, which reflects the school's century-old legacy, will usher it into a more modern and progressive future.
