BGMEA expresses deep shock over fire at Korail slum

DHAKA, Nov 26, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has expressed deep shock over the fire incident at the Korail slum in the capital, which destroyed numerous homes and left many families homeless.

BGMEA conveyed heartfelt sympathy to all the affected families and wished a quick recovery for those injured in the tragic incident, said a BGMEA press release today.

The association expressed hope that the relevant authorities would immediately strengthen rescue and relief operations and take effective measures to rehabilitate the victims.

The BGMEA also reaffirmed its strong commitment to standing beside all affected people during this humanitarian crisis, noting that collective efforts are essential to support the victims and help them rebuild their lives.
