DHAKA, Sept 5, 2025 (BSS) - Chief Adviser (CA) Professor Muhammad Yunus has extended his heartfelt greetings to the Muslim Ummah, including the countrymen, on the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, to be observed tomorrow commemorating the birth and death of the greatest human being, Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him -PBUH), the last Prophet and Messenger of the world.

In a message issued today, Professor Yunus said Eid-e-Miladunnabi is a sacred and glorious day for the Muslims across the globe, marking the arrival of the Prophet (PBUH) who was sent as a 'Rahmatul-lil-Alamin' - a mercy for the entire universe.

He quoted from the Holy Quran - "O Prophet, I have sent you only as a mercy for the entire world" (Surah Al-Anbiya, verse 107)."

"The Holy Prophet (PBUH) appeared as 'Sirajam Munira' - a shining lamp - bringing the message of peace, progress and welfare to liberate mankind from the darkness of superstition, injustice, slavery and sin," he said.

He noted that the Prophet's (PBUH) extraordinary qualities - his unwavering devotion to Allah, noble character and boundless compassion - made his life 'Uswatun Hasanah', or 'A Beautiful Example' in the Holy Quran.

The timeless ideals and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) will continue to guide humanity across all ages and generations towards the path of salvation, Prof Yunus said.

He stressed that in today's conflict-ridden world, the Prophet's universal teachings and adherence to his Sunnah are the keys to establishing peace, justice and harmony.

"His ideals in both religious and worldly matters are the best model for emulation and contain the seeds of eternal success and peace for Muslims," he added.

Professor Yunus prayed for continued peace, prosperity and unity of the Muslim Ummah and hoped the auspicious occasion would inspire all to uphold and embody the noble ideals of the Prophet (PBUH) in their lives.

"May the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) ensure our collective welfare and salvation in this life and after-life. Ameen," the CA said.
