DHAKA, Nov 24, 2025 (BSS) - The draft Master Plan for Saint Martin's Island, prepared to regulate unplanned tourism, protect the island's fragile environment, and ensure sustainable management, has been published.

The draft plan was uploaded on the notice board of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change website (www.moefcc.gov.bd) for public access, a ministry press release said.

All relevant ministries, departments, agencies, stakeholders, and commoners are requested to submit their written feedback on the draft Master Plan by December 20 next to the email address - [email protected].

In addition, feedback is also requested on the draft of "Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Directive for Plastic Waste Management, 2025."

All ministries, departments, agencies, stakeholders, and people are invited to send their comments by December 20 next to email - [email protected].

The ministry hopes that with the participation and constructive input of all concerned, a practical and effective plan can be finalised to protect the environmentally sensitive and nationally important coastal resource, Saint Martin's Island, and to strengthen the country's response to plastic waste management challenges.
