DHAKA, Sept 9, 2025 (BSS) - The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) issued traffic guidelines for Dhaka University and surrounding areas to ensure smooth conduct of the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) elections.

DMP Commissioner SM Sazzat Ali issued the public notice on Monday. 

According to the notice, vehicle entry into Dhaka University will be diverted at Shahbagh Crossing, High Court Crossing, Nilkhet Crossing, Shahidullah Hall Crossing and Palashi Crossing.

Vehicles heading towards Dhaka University are requested to use alternative routes instead of entering Dhaka University. 

However, ambulances and emergency services will be exempted from this diversion.

The DMP Commissioner requested to drivers and commuters in the Dhaka Metropolitan area to avoid the specified crossings and nearby roads as much as possible and appealed for everyone's cooperation to facilitate smooth polling.
